….doesn’t mean that they aren’t out to get me!
So, Middle Man will soon be jetting off for the Bounty Bar paradise of the Maldives for well-deserved rest and recuperation. Or, at least, that is the plan.
But, it seems that events are conspiring to unsettle those plans. To unsettle my better half. To unsettle me.
First of all, we are supposed to be flying part of the route on an Airbus A380. You know, the one with the engines that blow up! Someone please tell me that Emirates’ A380s don’t have these particular Rolls Royce engines……
And, once I arrive upon my little island haven it seems that I can expect to be insulted and abused by the locals. So, I don’t expect to be renewing my wedding vows.
Now, let’s not even mention the word tsunami……

Emirates do have the same engine but they haven’t grounded their A380s. Singapore grounded, checked and then cleared them so I’m sure you’ll be fine!
As for the locals I can’t offer any comforting advice. Maybe a Victorian era comment like “we’re British don’t you know!” will get them onside.
