I recently visited the WW1 Battlefields and was struck by the respect maintained by French school children for the memory of the fallen.
The Commonwealth Forces are well represented by Canadian college pupils, who stay in France or Belgium for periods of 3 months at a time in order to help man visitor centres.
What of the British representation ?
None observed, and I’m left wondering why, and what has happened to our values ?
