The Leader of the True Faith?
March 18, 2009
I would like to apologise to my mother-in-law and any other devout Catholic that believes that the Pope’s word is the voice of God. But, are we really to believe that God wants us to live according to the rules of the current Pope?
I am struggling with the concept that the words of the man Joseph Ratzinger, now Pope Benedict XVI, should be listened to by anyone. Far from being a man of God or someone who loves his fellow man, he seems to be a man intent on returning us to the Dark Ages. His words seem intent on alienating all non-Catholics, women, homosexuals, and readers of Harry Potter. And, now he seems to be doing his best not to stop the spread of AIDS in Africa.
The world according to Pope Benedict XVI:
- If it isn’t Roman Catholic then it isn’t a proper Church
- Vatican says that little green men are part of Creation
- “Show me just what Muhammad brought that was new and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached.”
- Pope Benedict XVI has condemned the Harry Potter books as “subtle seductions,” capable of corrupting young Christians
- Condoms are not solutions to AIDS, they make it worse
Next he’ll be telling us we can’t eat fish on a Friday!
Oh well, roll on Nostradamus and Peter the Roman……….

This is not surprising. A big organization has to have rules that are either internally consistent or reasonable and fair. Lean too far towards the first, and you get fruitarians and the Taliban; too far towards the second, and you get the Church of England and the UK tax system, with all their tiny adjustments to accommodate reality. Both are attempts to pre-empt criticism of unfairness or inconsistency, but there is no shelter from either anywhere on the scale. The Pope may be deluded, but at least his logic is impeccable.

we just had this message last sunday service about this stuff…
We should not follow the Religion or any religion… the rules of religions/doctrines are ever-changing… it is not constant compare to the Word of God which is written in the Bible that will never change till forever meets forever….
we must be careful what people teaches us.. even what the pope, ministers, or our pastor. They are still humans and also makes mistakes… ANYTHING THAT IS AGAINST OR CONTRADICTS THE BIBLE IS NOT OF GOD BUT OF THE DEVIL…
I AGREE WITH HIM THOUGH BOUT HARRY POTTER. BECAUSE IT IS ABOUT WITCHES AND WIZARDS.. WITCHES AND THE LIKES ARE NOT OF GOD… though they say they are WHITE WITCH… i dont believe their are such, remember their power comes from the evil one and not of God…
and ABOUT CONDOMS…will yeah, condoms are not solutions.. the SOLUTION IS TO HAVE SEX ONLY WITH YOUR OWN SPOUSE… DO not engage in Premarital sex and with many parner. Keep your purity…
I have also dealt with Roman Catholics who are defenders of their faith… and they also said that to me that they are athe only Church, aside fromthem, the protestants, baptist, pentecostals, born again churches are not Christian churches.. THEY WERE WRONG…
maybe i can explain more later… in the meantime, ive got to go..
