I do not think that it is anything with ill will or bad intentions. I think that it might be just be interested in the things going on around the house. But then again that might be arrogant to assume that it is interested in our lives but it’s the only explanation that I can come up with for the music given that James Morrison is one of my favorites and I play his albums all the time. I did a little bit of research and I am starting to think that the black figure that our friend saw was something completely different considering that spirits generally do not present themselves in a solid black form. It sounds to me that might be something like an astral energy or entity, but I could be wrong. Apparently astral entities are something like spiritual vampires that feed on negative energy to make themselves stronger. When I read about the astral entity it grabbed my attention because the description sounded just like what my friend had described, not to mention he is a very negative person in all aspects of his life. Apparently he is also seeing it in places other than just our house too and it has become a very often occurrence.

So, for the last few weeks I have been telling myself that I have been going crazy not wanting to acknowledge some of the really strange things going on in my house. I have been living here for over a year with my fiancé. When I first moved I noticed some odd things happening but for my own comfort chose to ignore them. Towels flying off towel racks, tupperware flying from cupboards. And one morning I was lying in bed fully awake trying to talk myself into getting up and starting my day when the window behind my bed was slid shut. And then one night my cat was very scared for some reason and was hiding under my bed so I went into my bedroom trying to comfort her and get her to come out when I started hearing tapping on that same window. My cat started growling and retreated even further under the bed. And just last night (or this morning) around 2:45-3:00 am I was in the bathroom brushing my teeth and getting ready to go to bed when all the sudden I hear “You give me something” by James Morrison. It was muffled as though it was coming from maybe my living room or kitchen so I thought that maybe my fiancé was listening to it on the computer. When I came out of the bathroom he was lying in bed and had no idea what I was talking about. We went through the house and checked anywhere it could have possibly come from and I live in the states so I know for a fact it did not come from outside somewhere because no one around here even knows who James Morrison is. I should have probably also mentioned that our current bedroom used to be the guest room and we had a friend of ours stay at our house for about a week before it was our room. He went in the bedroom around the same time almost 3:00 am and woke us up almost in tears saying he saw a black figure make it’s way through the bedroom very fast. I guess I am not as much scared as I am curious and wanting to know what is going on.

Thanks for your comment! Your experiences are very intriguing, and I have to admit to having odd things happen to me as well. Are they ghosts? I dont know. I hope so!

I was 12 and, being the nerd that I am, had been listening to a Halloween CD collection full of scary stories and eerie noises in the middle of July. I had left the CD in the player in my brothers room, which was right next to mine. One night I wake up from a dream and I hear the CD playing in the next room, loud and clear as day. I got up from bed, went to my brothers room, and went to turn off the CD player. When I got to it, I realized that the CD player was turned off and that the recording I had been hearing had stopped. I checked and discovered that it wasn’t even plugged into the wall.

Spooky, huh?

Wow! It reminds me of The Shining.

Your dream experience reminded me of a time when I was quite young. My uncle came in on the way to starting his late shift. He was pale and shaking. He told the story that he had been approaching a traffic junction on foot, near our house, when he came across a lad in his 20s, looking dishevelled, head in hands, sat on the curbside. My uncle asked him if he was alright. The lad explained that he was but that there had been an accident at the junction and that someone had been killed. Just then my uncle was distracted by the sound of an accident at the junction……when he turned back, the boy had gone…..there was one fatality in the crash……a lad in his 20s!!!!
